Blush UK - Earcandy

De titel van het album zegt het al, dit is snoepgoed voor je oren. Blush UK bestaat uit drie meiden. Wanneer je Lucy, Nic en Jess op de cover van het album ziet staan, doen ze je misschien denken aan de Sugababes. Het verschil is dat deze meiden een geweldige boodschap brengen. 
Het album heeft zich specifiek gericht op jongere tienermeiden. Het nummer “Slow Down” gaat over de valkuilen in het leven als het gaat om materialisme en relaties. In “So” word er gezongen over de harde werkelijkheid van avondjes stappen onder tieners. Oftewel, deze cd bevat getuigenissen uit het dagelijks leven en sluit goed aan bij hun doelgroep. Wanneer je na  een tijdje op de stopknop drukt van de cd-speler, resteert de nodige stof om over na te denken. 
“Ear Candy” is een kort maar krachtige cd. Deze mini-cd telt maar 6 songs en hun sound is het beste urban pop te noemen. Dit is het tweede album voor Blush UK en de opvolger van “Sunshine”. Zongen ze op hun debuutalbum nog met z’n vieren, op hun tweede album moeten we er eentje missen. Ondanks dat bevat “Ear Candy” geweldige vocale melodieën. Het is een erg energievol album die je absoluut niet wilt missen.

The name of the album says enough, this is candy for your ears. Blush UK consists of three girls. When you see Lucy, Nic and Jess on the cover of the album, perhaps they might remind you of the Sugababes. The difference is that these girls deliver an awesome message. 
The album is specifically aimed at younger teenage girls. The song “Slow Down” is about the pitfalls in life when it’s about materialism and relationships. In “So” they sing about the hard reality of  teenagers going out at night. In short, this album contains testimonies of the daily life and is suited to their target group. When you push the stop button of your cd player after a while, there will be enough material to think about. 
“Ear Candy” is a short but powerful album. This mini album has only got six songs and you can call their sound urban pop. This is the second album of Blush UK. The first one was called “Sunshine”. On their first album they sang with four girls but on this album whe have to miss one of them. Despite of that, “Ear Candy” contains great vocal melodies. It’s a very energetic album which you don’t want to miss.
