Who can forget Shackles. The summeranthem of 2000! It was one of the few gospelsongs that became a mainstream hit worldwide in the last decade. The girls of Mary Mary are one of the gospelgroups that are still one the scene and are painting the canvas of gospelmusic. Every album was platinum or gold certified. After the album Mary Mary of 2005 it went quiet, but now their back wtih their new album The Sound. The sisters Tina and Erica consider themselves unpredictable and they maybe right, because the new single Get Up is unlike anything you’ve ever heard in gospel or mainstream. The single is like an entree before the maincourse. The Single Get Up is asking people to Get Up. Why are you waiting. Why do you care what peolple think. Get Up! A message that many people can and should relate to. The new album The Sound that’s released teusday the 14th of oktober will be a disc that explores the different genres of music. It will be truth grounded gospel music with pop, soul, jazz,R&B, electronic music and much more influences.
