Who is Jake Smith?

Rockettown Records heeft een groot talent aangenomen. Jake Smith uit New Orleans behoort volgens mij tot een kleine groep buitengewoon unieke artiesten. Met zijn debuut ‘Real’ in 2007 vervolgd hij nu zijn weg met ‘All That We’ll Ever Need’. Zoekende naar de wortels van Jazz, vindt hij onderwijl een tikje Soul, instrumentaal snaarwerk afgewerkt met de karakteristieke stem van Jake. Omdat de muziek zich makkelijk laat beluisteren en dankzij de unieke sound plaatst Jake Smith zich tussen de grote namen. 

Rockettown Records has a great new artist signed in. New Orleans singer & songwriter Jake Smith belongs by my concern to a little group of outstanding unique artists. With his debuut ‘Real’ last year Jake continues his journey with ‘All That We’ll Ever Need’. In search of the roots of Jazz, he finds pieces of Soul, instrumental strings putting it all together with the sound of Jake’s voice. It’s a beautiful, smooth, leadback sound in which you can dream away or just sing along. The sound is so unique, but still so easy to be listenend to. Jake places himself between the bignames. I think it will only take a little time before Jake Smith goes worldwide!
