Israel Houghton releases The Power Of One

More than a year ago Israel and New Breed released their sixth album with Integrity A Deeper Level.The last album was about going deeper in your relationship with God. The new album The Power Of One is about being the church as an individuele. Israel said on TBN: “The world is tired of us doing church. The church is really peoplee. Church can be established in your workplace. On your voetbalteam,/ We are the house of living stones and God has called us to go out and touch people. Be The Power Of One!” Houghton challenges people of faith to be impassioned and Christ-like in their earthly walk as humanly possible. On his new album Israel has brought some friends with different musical genres. Toby Mac is featured in the rock song You Found Me. Mary Mary help him out in the beatiful gospelballad Every Prayer. Reggae artist Checelle Franklin is featured on the Bob Marley-influenced Surely Goodness. Chevelle returns in the song Sing(Redemption song) with Delirious? frontman Martin Smith.
The promoters of the album say: “The album features the youthful and musically masterful energy that has made Israel among the most influential tastemakers across a variety of musical genres.”
The first single Wanna Say is a great song. It’s not regenton, but a fusion of drums, gitar and it has an urban feel to it. It’s a testimony of faith about who God is.
