Delirious? gaat ons vaarwel zeggen

Na 14 albums, duizenden shows voor miljoenen toeschouwers en vele geweldige ervaringen, breit Delirious? er een einde aan. Martin Smith, de leadzanger van deze wereldwijd immens populaire rock band, koesterde al langer het verlangen om meer tijd te steken in zijn gezin en andere hobby’s. De andere bandleden bleken dit verlangen te delen en zo kwamen zij samen tot het besluit om eind 2009 een pauze in te lasten. Hoe lang de jongens van Delirious? uit de gospelscène zullen zijn is niet duidelijk. Wel hebben ze laten weten dat alle concerten en tours de komende 17 maanden af zullen maken. Delirious?, met pijn in ons hart zullen we jullie missen! 

De band voegt toe:“We always used to say that we were ‘taking it wherever it goes’. The music ended up going further and deeper than we could ever have dreamed, yet we are now at a point where our creative futures will spread out and take on different journeys.”  

After 14 albums, thousands of shows in front of millions of listeners and many, many wonderful experiences, Delirious? takes a break in their big business music making career. Leadsinger Martin Smith had the desire to spend more time with his children and working on other hobbies. The other bandmembers also shared that same desire and they came to the decision to call it quits at the end of 2009. For now it’s not official how long the boys will take a break. But they told us that they will continue their tours and shows the 17 months to come. We will miss you, Delirious?!
